Institute for Desirable Futures
Institute for Desirable Futures · COP31 Antalya

Envision our desirable future and 100× the awareness impact.

A European, foundation-governed news producer of the future. People set the mission, people create the knowledge, and people, society and planet benefit. In between, AI agents do the costly, repetitive media work: they find the science, ventures and communities already building desirable futures, check them against the evidence, and serve them to influencers and to the AI answer engines everyone now asks. The aim is €1 reaching 200 people instead of 2: a 100× gain.

Fossil interests outspend everyone else, and the media chain rewards spend. We cannot win like this.

Yet desirable futures already exist. Every day, scientists, founders and cities build real ways to a better life.

But their visibility is stuck. Today, €1 buys about two views of climate news. That has to change.

And the audience has changed. Machines now read more of the web than people, and millions ask AI for answers every day.

The Institute for Desirable Futures uses AI agents to find legitimate science and solutions, and checks them by rules the Foundation sets. It serves them to influencers and to the AI answer engines everyone uses: one euro reaching 200 people.

With 100× media coverage efficiency, climate solutions overtake fossil-fuel messaging in the early 2030s.

Let's spread the word: a society that builds its own desirable future

IDF spreads the word on how people, cities and ventures are already building a society that feeds itself regeneratively, heals itself naturally, powers and moves itself cleanly, secures itself sovereignly, thinks for itself digitally and shares the prosperity. Six pillars, each covered from big ideas to working blueprints, served every day in bite-size form to people and to the AI they ask.

Foodfeeds itself regeneratively

100% regenerative, local-for-local food that restores nature: tasty, healthy, no waste, no plastic.

Healthheals itself naturally

Prevention first: healthy food, clean air, nature nearby and active lives.

Energy & mobilitypowers and moves itself cleanly

100% renewable energy and zero-emission, closed-loop transport; no fossil fuels.

Resiliencesecures itself sovereignly

Self-reliant supply of food, energy and trustworthy information, with security built on cooperation.

Digitalthinks for itself digitally

Trustworthy, sovereign AI that takes the repetitive work so people can do more valuable human work.

Prosperityshares the prosperity

Quality of life for all: thriving cities and revived villages, scaled through cooperation rather than transactions.

Humans own the loop. Agents run it.

Fossil interests outspend everyone else in the traditional media chain, and that chain rewards spend. IDF changes the channel: it moves the decisive contest to where people now ask questions, AI answers and influencers' feeds, and makes the cost of reaching a person with checked content a hundredth of today's.

  • Human sources: scientists, founders, cities and communities create the knowledge.
  • AI agents discover papers, patents, ventures and data, check evidence and provenance by rule, and compose bite-size content in 24 languages.
  • The IDF platform is open, sourced and citable (CC BY), built to be cited by AI answer engines and served to influencers as ready-made kits.
  • Human benefit: people, society and planet act on what works; their questions flow back to the sources.
  • Open, not covert: no fake accounts, no hidden prompt seeding, no fossil-fuel funding.

Questions

About the Institute

What is the Institute for Desirable Futures?

A European, foundation-governed news producer of the future. Its purpose is to 100× the awareness of desirable futures for people, society and planet, so that others can copy and scale what works.

How does IDF use AI?

Humans own the loop: they set the mission, create the knowledge and benefit from it. AI agents do the costly, repetitive media work in between: they find science, ventures and communities building desirable futures, check them against the evidence, and serve bite-size content to influencers and AI answer engines in 24 European languages.

How is IDF governed and funded?

A foundation guards the mission and owns an operating company that does the work. Revenue comes from B2B intelligence services, data licensing and mission funding, under a firewall: no funding from fossil-fuel producers or their trade bodies, and no single funder above 15% of income.

What does IDF cover?

Six pillars of a society that feeds itself regeneratively, heals itself naturally, powers and moves itself cleanly, secures itself sovereignly, thinks for itself digitally and shares the prosperity. Each is covered as thought leadership, transformation and intervention.

How can I get involved?
